A very close game took place in Ningbo between Bayi Fubang and TianJin Rongcheng. Ninth ranked Bayi Fubang (4-3) got a very close home victory over 17th ranked TianJin Rongcheng (2-7). Bayi Fubang managed to escape with a 2-point win 109-107 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Bayi Fubang forced 19 TianJin Rongcheng turnovers. International forward Lehei De (208-87) nailed 23 points for the winning side and international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) came up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import center David Harrison (213-82, college: Colorado) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for TianJin Rongcheng in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Bayi Fubang moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Shanxi Zh. TianJin Rongcheng lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Qingdao DS. Bayi Fubang will meet Qingdao Double Star (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TianJin Rongcheng will play against Zhejiang Cyclones in Hangzhou and hope to secure a win.
