Important game to mention about took place in Denain. Sixteenth ranked Denain Voltaire (4-8) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 14th ranked Quimper UJAP (4-8) 66-64 in the fight for the fourteenth place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-12. But Quimper UJAP won second period 15-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American guard Nate Rohnert (197-87, college: Denver) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) contributed with 7 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Center Moustapha Diarra (207-87, college: USF) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Liberian-American Pele Paelay (193-84, college: Co.Carolina) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Denain Voltaire moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Quimper UJAP. Denain Voltaire will face JA Vichy (#18) on the road in the next round.
