Regular Season Round 9: Foshan LL - Fujian QB 98-95

A very interesting game took place in Foshan. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (4-5) to thirteenth ranked Foshan (3-5) 98-95 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fujian SBS XunXin. The hosts were ahead by 14 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 27-22 run, which allowed them to win the game. Foshan dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Fujian SBS XunXin's 40. The best player for the winners was Syrian guard Michel Maadanly (195-81) who scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American-Filipino power forward Marcus Douthit (210-80, college: Providence, agency: Edge Sports) chipped in 23 points and 8 rebounds. Four Foshan players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) who recorded 28 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import guard Anthony Roberson (188-83, college: Florida) added 30 points respectively. Fujian SBS XunXin's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Foshan moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Jilin NE T. Fujian SBS XunXin at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Foshan's next round opponent will be higher ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (#3) in Urumqi and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
