The game between Top Four teams took place in Mikawa. 4th placed host Hamamatsu Phoenix (9-8) was smashed by third ranked Shiga L-Stars (12-5) 90-70. The game was mostly controlled by Shiga L-Stars. Hamamatsu Phoenix was better in third quarter 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Hamamatsu Phoenix 42-28 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 7 rebounds. Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. American guard Jermaine Dixon (191-87, college: Pittsburgh, agency: VVG Sports) answered with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Shoji Nakanishi (190-82) added 18 points in the effort for Hamamatsu Phoenix. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Shiga L-Stars. They maintain third place with 12-5 record behind leader Akita NH, which they share with Kyoto Hannar. Hamamatsu Phoenix lost their third game in a row. Defending champion dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round. Hamamatsu Phoenix will play again at home against Shiga L-Stars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
