Very expected game in Lund where 11th ranked IK Eos (2-9) were defeated by leader Malbas (12-0) 72-68 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 23-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. IK Eos were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Australian guard John Fitzgerald (193-84, college: Lindsey Wilson) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Jacob Magnusson (185-94) helped adding 14 points. Guard Adnan Karovic (187-88) responded with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Nils Gjorup (-92) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Malbas have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place in South with 12-0 record. IK Eos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with nine games lost. Malbas will face Helsingborg (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. IK Eos will play against Hoganas (#3).
