Regular Season Round 10: Prat Juventud - Gandia Basquet 89-67

Date: December 10, 2011
No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Prat Juventud (5-5) smashed at home 11th ranked Gandia Basquet (2-7) 89-67. The game was mostly controlled by Prat Juventud. Gandia Basquet was better in fourth quarter 24-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (203-92) notched 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Alejandro Barrera (199-92) supported him with 16 points. Prat Juventud's coach Carles Duran felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 22 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Anthony jr. Oha (198-83, college: Prairie View A&M) did not help to save the game for Gandia Basquet. Naturalized American center Shalawn Miller (205-74, college: Mass.-Lowell) added 14 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Four Gandia Basquet players scored in double figures. Prat Juventud moved-up to seventh place. Gandia Basquet lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Prat Juventud's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Barca Regal II in Barcelona and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gandia Basquet will play at home against the league's leader River Andorra (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
