A2 top team - Vigarano (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Alghero (3-8) 74-50. The game without a history. Vigarano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Alghero's 28 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Vigarano forced 21 Alghero turnovers. Forward Eleonora Laffi (188-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 6 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Center Gloria Vian (190-89) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Bulgarian power forward Radostina Slavova-Naneva (188-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Elisa Donati (170-80) added 13 points in the effort for Alghero. Vigarano have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place in North with 10-1 record, which they share with Milano. Alghero lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Vigarano will face Terme di Cervia (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alghero will play against Muggia (#6).
