Regular Season Round 11: Hogsbo - Hoganas 47-71

Not a big story in a game in Goteborg where 7th ranked Hogsbo (4-7) was rolled over by third ranked Hoganas (8-3) 71-47 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Hoganas. Hogsbo was better in third quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Hogsbo's 28. They outrebounded Hogsbo 46-35 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Martynas Kuksta (203-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Lithuanian power forward Linas Savickas (197-79) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. Center Robert Isaksson (202-87) responded with 7 points and 10 rebounds and Max Johansson scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Hogsbo's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Hoganas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place in South with 8-3 record having just one points less than leader Eagles, which they share with Srbija. Hogsbo lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Hoganas will face IK Eos (#11) in Lund in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hogsbo will play at home against Srbija (#4) in Malmo.
