Bottom-ranked Maccabi Ashdod managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of five consecutive loses. This time they won against sixth-ranked B.C. Habikaa 88-74. The game was mostly controlled by Maccabi Ashdod. B.C. Habikaa was better in fourth quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 26 personal fouls committed by B.C. Habikaa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Ramel Bradley (188-85) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) who recorded 26 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and swingman Dion Dowell (200-85, college: Houston) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Maccabi Ashdod (2-6) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Bnei Hasharon and Elitzur Netanya. B.C. Habikaa at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Maccabi Ashdod's next round opponent will be Bnei Hasharon (#9) in Hod Hasharon.
