Very important is a road loss of third ranked Hapoel J-M (5-3) against seventh ranked Hapoel Holon (5-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Hapoel J-M was defeated by Hapoel Holon in a tough game in Holon 65-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hapoel J-M. Hapoel J-M trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 25-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 65-70 at the end of the game. Hapoel Holon made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. American power forward Bryant Dunston (202-86) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Ron Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St.) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds. American guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland) came up with 19 points and 4 assists and point guard Guni Israeli (185-84, agency: Gross Zeev ISA) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for Hapoel J-M in the defeat. Hapoel J-M's coach Oded Katash rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Holon moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ironi Ashkelon. Loser Hapoel J-M keeps the third position with three games lost. Hapoel Holon will meet Maccabi Haifa (#8) on the road in the next round.
