The game in Visby was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Telge (9-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Visby Ladies (3-7). Telge did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 72-55. The game was mostly controlled by Telge. Visby Ladies was better in fourth quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Visby Ladies 47-22 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for forward Binta Drammeh (180-92) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Brittney Thomas (179-89, college: Michigan St.) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Marie Soderberg (164-65) came up with 8 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and American swingman Ashleigh Brown (183-87, college: Miami, OH) added 11 points respectively for Visby Ladies in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains second place with 9-1 record having five points less than leader Northland. Visby Ladies lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Telge will play against Umea Comets (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Visby Ladies will play against Jarfalla in Stockholm and hope to get back on the winning track.
