Regular Season Round 11: Shandong FB - Bayi R. 112-87

An interesting game took place in Jinan where higher ranked Bayi Fubang (5-4) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Shandong Bulls (4-7) 112-87 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bayi Fubang. The game was mostly controlled by Shandong Bulls. Bayi Fubang was better in fourth quarter 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shandong Bulls made 29-of-33 free shots (87.9 percent) during the game. Shandong Bulls outrebounded Bayi Fubang 58-29 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Bayi Fubang was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American swingman Alan Anderson (198-82, college: Michigan St., agency: Priority Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 4 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Center Ke Wu (209-90) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. International forward Lehei De (208-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and international center ZhongHao Xu (212-90) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Bayi Fubang players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shandong Bulls moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Bayi Fubang dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Shandong Bulls will face higher ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (#4) in Hangzhou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
