Regular Season Round 11: Qingdao E. - Zhejiang CB 100-99

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (6-3) against sixteenth ranked Qingdao Double Star (3-8) on Wednesday night. Visiting Zhejiang Cyclones were edged by Qingdao Double Star in a tough game in Qingdao 99-100. Zhejiang Cyclones were ahead by 13 points after three quarters before a 27-13 charge of Qingdao Double Star, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Gen Li (196-88) accounted for 32 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winning side. American guard J.R. Smith (198-85) came up with 39 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and international power forward Jinhui Ding (204-89) added 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Zhejiang Cyclones in the defeat. Five Zhejiang Cyclones players scored in double figures. Qingdao Double Star maintains sixteenth place with 3-8 record. Zhejiang Cyclones at the other side keep the third position with three games lost. They share it with Shanxi Zh. and Xinjiang F.T.. Qingdao Double Star will play against higher ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#14) in Nanjing in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zhejiang Cyclones will play at home against Shandong Bulls (#12) in Jinan and hope to get back on the winning track.
