The game was mostly controlled by Adelaide 36ers. Wollongong Hawks managed to win fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a quality performance of American forward Diamon Simpson (201-87, college: St.Mary's, CA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Center Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) helped adding 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. American forward Joevan Catron (198-88, college: Oregon) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Timothy Coenraad (201-85, college: Nova SE) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adelaide 36ers maintains eighth place with 4-8 record. Wollongong Hawks lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Adelaide 36ers will meet higher ranked Gold Coast Blaze (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wollongong Hawks will have a break next round.
