Regular Season Round 13: Landes - Mondeville 68-62

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Mondeville (8-5) against fifth ranked Basket Landes (8-5) on Friday night. Visiting Mondeville was defeated by Basket Landes in a tough game in Mont de Marsan 62-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Mondeville. Mondeville was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Basket Landes forced 21 Mondeville turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian point guard Katarina Manic (181-80) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 assists. Julie Barennes (183-86) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Power forward Laetitia Kamba (186-87) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Lithuanian center Giedre Paugaite (192-90) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Mondeville. Basket Landes moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Mondeville. Basket Landes will play against Arras (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mondeville will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
