Regular Season Round 13: Pogon Prudnik - Nysa Klodzko 65-50

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Pogon Prudnik (9-4) defeated at home 12th ranked Nysa Klodzko (3-10) 65-50 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pogon Prudnik made 9 blocks. It was a very good performance for forward Jaroslaw Pawlowski (194-80) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Marcin Lakis (196-80) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Pogon Prudnik's coach Tomasz Michalak used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Marcin Sterenga (201-78) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and guard Bartlomiej Jozefowicz (192-80) added 16 points in the effort for Nysa Klodzko. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Nysa Klodzko keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face UMKS Piotrc. (#14) in Piotrkow in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Nysa Klodzko will play on the road against WKK Obiekty in Wroclaw.
