Regular Season Round 13: Zuraw Gniewno - Ksiezak Lowicz 84-92

Rather predictable result when third ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (8-4) won against 5th ranked Zuraw Gniewno (6-6) in Gniewino 92-84 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Zuraw Gniewno won third quarter 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ksiezak Lowicz shot 61.5 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Ksiezak Lowicz especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a very good performance for guard Damian Janiak (191-89) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Kacper Kromer (204-87) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Ksiezak Lowicz players scored in double figures. Guard Pawel Strychalski (189-86) answered with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Pawel Pawlowski (198-82) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Zuraw Gniewno. Zuraw Gniewno's coach Jacek Bagnecki tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ksiezak Lowicz maintains third place in Group A with 8-4 record having four points less than leader Open Florentyna. Loser Zuraw Gniewno dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Ksiezak Lowicz will face AZS PP Poznan (#4) in Pozoan in the next round. Zuraw Gniewno will play at home against SMS PZKosz in Wladyslawowo.
