Another interesting game was also this time a derby match between teams from Tbilisi: Olympus (#2) and Samedicino-Academia (#8). Samedicino-Academia was defeated at home 71-78 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Samedicino-Academia was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 40-31 second half run of Olympus. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international forward Mikheil Berishvili (205-87) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian center Ilija Milutinovic (213-88, college: Oakland, agency: Global Sports Plaza) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by guard Konstantine Tomaradze (197-90) did not help to save the game for Samedicino-Academia. Center Beka Bekauri (207-91) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Five Samedicino-Academia players scored in double figures. Samedicino-Academia's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Olympus (8-1) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Olympus maintains second position behind leader Armia. Samedicino-Academia lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. Olympus' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Armia.
