Regular Season Round 21: Iwate Big Bulls - Fukuoka Rizing 81-96

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (5-14) were defeated at home by fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (12-7) 96-81 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Iwate Big Bulls was better in fourth quarter 28-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: VVG Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). Power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who recorded 28 points and 6 rebounds and power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-84, college: New Orleans) added 15 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing maintains fifth place with 12-7 record. Loser Iwate Big Bulls keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play again at home against Fukuoka Rizing (#5).
