Regular Season Round 10: Mann Filter - Rivas Ecopolis 55-50

The most important game in the last round took place in Zaragoza between third ranked Rivas Ecopolis (8-2) and seventh ranked Mann Filter (6-4) on Saturday night. Rivas Ecopolis was defeated by Mann Filter in a tough game on the road 50-55. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rivas Ecopolis. Rivas Ecopolis was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 17-11 charge of Mann Filter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Bulgarian forward Jaklin Zlatanova (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Arhonda Covington (185-85, college: Louisville) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Mann Filter's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International center Laura Nicholls (189-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) replied with 9 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Essence Carson (183-86, college: Rutgers) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Rivas Ecopolis. Mann Filter have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Rivas Ecopolis at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. Mann Filter are looking forward to face Gran Canaria (#7) in Las Palmas in the next round. Rivas Ecopolis will play at home against the league's leader Ros Casares (#1) in Valencia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
