Regular Season Round 21: Takamatsu FA - Okinawa GK 76-97

Bottom-ranked Takamatsu FA (0-19) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 97-76 loss to second ranked Okinawa GK (14-5) in Takamatsu. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. The game was mostly controlled by Okinawa GK. Takamatsu FA was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Okinawa GK players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Okinawa GK's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. STVn center Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Takamatsu FA in the defeat. Five Okinawa GK and four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Okinawa GK keeps a position of league leader. Takamatsu FA at the other side still closes the standings with 19 games lost. Okinawa GK will have a break next round. Takamatsu FA will play again at home against the league's leader Okinawa GK (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
