Fifteenth-ranked FIATC Joventut (5-10) gave a tough game to third ranked Unicaja Malaga (11-4). Unicaja Malaga managed to secure only one-point victory 89-88. However their fans expected much easier game. FIATC Joventut was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Croatian power forward Luka Zoric (211-84) who scored that evening 20 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian forward Hrvoje Peric (203-85) supported him with 18 points. Even 25 points by Czech guard David Jelinek (194-90) did not help to save the game for FIATC Joventut. American forward Latavious Williams (202-91) added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five Unicaja Malaga and four FIATC Joventut players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Unicaja Malaga have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Unicaja Malaga went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Lucentum. FIATC Joventut at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with GC 2014. Unicaja Malaga will play against Cajasol (#6) in Sevilla in the next round. FIATC Joventut will play at home against the league's second-placed Real Madrid (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
