Rather predictable result when twelfth ranked Shandong Bulls (6-7) won against 16th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (3-9) in Jinan 99-91 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 31-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons' 34. Shandong Bulls forced 19 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers and outrebounded them 53-37 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Liberian-American forward Othello Hunter (203-86, college: Ohio St., agency: David Lee services) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and American swingman Alan Anderson (198-82, college: Michigan St., agency: Priority Sports) accounted for 23 points and 13 rebounds. Four Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. Shandong Bulls' coach Bob Weiss let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Shandong Bulls. They moved-up to tenth place. Loser Jiangsu Dragons dropped to the fifteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Foshan. Shandong Bulls will meet league's leader Beijing Ducks on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Foshan (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
