Regular Season Round 13: Zhejiang CB - Foshan LL 103-96

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Zhejiang Cyclones (7-4) defeated 15th ranked Foshan (3-9) in Hangzhou 103-96 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-13. But Foshan won second period 28-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Zhejiang Cyclones won last quarter 26-20. They also forced 21 Foshan turnovers. American guard J.R. Smith (198-85) nailed 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) accounted for 17 points and 19 rebounds. American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and Syrian guard Michel Maadanly (195-81) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Foshan in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zhejiang Cyclones moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Xinjiang F.T. Foshan lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Jiangsu D.. Zhejiang Cyclones will meet at home Shanghai Sharks (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Foshan will play against Jiangsu Dragons (#16) in Nanjing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
