Regular Season Round 15: Recanati - Latina Basket 90-59

There was a small surprise when fourth ranked Recanati (7-8) smashed at home 4th placed Latina Basket (7-8) 90-59 on Sunday. The game without a history. Recanati led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Recanati especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. It was a great evening for guard Marco Evangelisti (198-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. Five Recanati players scored in double figures. Recanati's coach Piero Coen felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Giulio Gazzotti (202-91) with 10 points and 5 rebounds and guard Tommaso Milani (190-88) scored 11 points. Recanati moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Latina Basket. Recanati will face Anagni (#5) on the road in the next round. Latina Basket will play against Fabriano and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
