Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Oslo: Centrum (#6) and Langhus IL (#8). Langhus IL was crushed at home by 36 points 58-94 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Langhus IL was better in second period 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Langhus IL's 42. Centrum forced 21 Langhus IL turnovers and outrebounded Langhus IL 62-32 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Centrum players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international forward Ronny Karlsen (202-78, college: Independence CC) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and the former international point guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. Centrum's coach Marco Sanders felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Gisle Klubnes (202-84) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and guard Ole Egeland (186-83) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Langhus IL in the defeat. Centrum have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Gimle BBK. Langhus IL at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
