Regular Season Round 8: Maccabi R.Hen - Elitzur Netanya 68-67

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Maccabi Ramat Hen (6-1) edged at home bottom-ranked Elitzur Netanya (0-7) 68-67 on Monday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Maccabi Ramat Hen forced 22 Elitzur Netanya turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA, agency: Merit Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Michal Epstein (180-81, college: Boston U.) who added 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. American center Jessica Lawson (191-86, college: S.Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 20 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Okeisha Howard (165-81, college: ODU) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Five Maccabi Ramat Hen and four Elitzur Netanya players scored in double figures. Maccabi Ramat Hen keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Elitzur Ramla. Elitzur Netanya at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Maccabi Ramat Hen will face Maccabi Ashdod (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Elitzur Netanya will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
