There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Minsk-2006 II (4-5) beat at home 5th ranked SBK Osipovichi (4-7) 97-84 on Tuesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 30-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Minsk-2006 II outrebounded SBK Osipovichi 43-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Valentin Ignatchik (192) who led the winners and scored 28 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Lithuanian forward Ronaldas Rutkauskas (203-92) accounted for 29 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Russian swingman Andrei Olbrecht (202-71) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kiril Sitnik (190-89) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for SBK Osipovichi in the defeat. Four Minsk-2006 II and five SBK Osipovichi players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Minsk-2006 II. They moved-up to fourth place. SBK Osipovichi lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Minsk-2006 II will meet league's second-placed Grodno-93 on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SBK Osipovichi will play against BGUIR-RTI in Minsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
