Bottom-ranked TianJin Rongcheng managed to get a third victory, breaking the nine-game losing streak. This time they won against fourteenth-ranked Qingdao Double Star in Tianjin 89-78. Qingdao Double Star was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 44-32 second half run of TianJin Rongcheng. They also forced 22 Qingdao Double Star turnovers and outrebounded them 55-40 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds to lead the effort and Lebanese guard Rony Fahed (184-81) supported him with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four TianJin Rongcheng players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 11 points, 22 rebounds and 7 assists by Nigerian-British power forward Olumide Oyedeji (208-81) did not help to save the game for Qingdao Double Star. American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) added 21 points for the guests. Qingdao Double Star's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TianJin Rongcheng (3-10) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Jiangsu D. Qingdao Double Star at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with ten games lost. TianJin Rongcheng will play against higher ranked Shandong Bulls (#11) in Jinan in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Qingdao Double Star will have a break next round.
