Regular Season Round 14: Fujian QB - Guangdong ST 90-85

The most important game in the last round took place in Jinjiang between second ranked Guandong Tigers (10-3) and twelfth ranked Fujian SBS XunXin (6-8) on Wednesday night. Guandong Tigers were defeated by Fujian SBS XunXin in a tough game on the road 85-90. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Guandong Tigers. Guandong Tigers trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 25-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 85-90 at the end of the game. Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American point guard Aaron Brooks (183-85, college: Oregon) responded with 29 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. Four Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Guandong Tigers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fujian SBS XunXin moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Shandong FB. Guandong Tigers at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. Fujian SBS XunXin is looking forward to face higher ranked DongGuan Leopards (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Guandong Tigers will play against Xinjiang Flying Tige (#4) in Urumqi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
