The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bari as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bari edged much higher ranked Ferentino at home 72-69. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-17. But Ferentino won second period 25-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bari had a 37-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Marco Cardillo (196-85) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Bari players scored in double figures. Power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (207-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and guard Simone Bonfiglio (181-88) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for Ferentino. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Casalpusterlengo. Ferentino at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. They share the position with Treviglio and Orlandina. Ferentino will play next round against Anagni trying to get back on the winning streak. Bari will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Napoli on the road.
