There was no surprise in Warszawa where 12th ranked AZS Politechnika Warszawska (3-13) was defeated by fifth ranked Kotwica (10-6) 80-64 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 49-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Kotwica dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to AZS Politechnika Warszawska's 34. They outrebounded AZS Politechnika Warszawska 45-23 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Darrell Harris (208-84, college: Rhode Island) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Reginald Holmes (193-87, college: Morgan St.) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds.
