The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Niigata Albirex's (12-8) road victory over 5th ranked Chiba Jets (10-12) 93-80 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Niigata Albirex. Chiba Jets was better in third quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) helped adding 10 points and 19 rebounds. Four Niigata Albirex players scored in double figures. Guard Jamel Staten (198-83, college: Minnesota St.) responded with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and guard Maurice Hargrow (193-83, college: Minnesota) scored 25 points. Chiba Jets' coach Eric Gardow rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Niigata Albirex moved-up to second place, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Chiba Jets lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
