Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#8) and TSU (#6). Dinamo Tbilisi (4-6) won against visiting TSU (4-6) 101-91. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 57-46 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Dinamo Tbilisi forced 20 TSU turnovers. Strangely TSU outrebounded Dinamo Tbilisi 49-35 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Keyon Carter (203-88, college: ODU, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who led the winners and scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Duda Sanadze (196-92) accounted for 26 points for the winning side. Guard Mikheil Chitashvili (193-84) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists and center Tornike Niniashvili (205-82) added 21 points and 12 rebounds respectively for TSU in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dinamo Tbilisi moved-up to seventh place, which they share with TSU Tbilisi. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
