The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Beijing Ducks (13-2) on the court of eleventh ranked Shanghai Sharks on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Shanghai Sharks 96-87. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 30-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Shanghai Sharks made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Beijing Ducks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ryan Forehan-Kelly (196-80, college: California) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) who added 21 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) responded with 26 points and 9 rebounds and guard Stephon Marbury (187-77, college: Georgia Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Shanghai Sharks and four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shanghai Sharks (7-8) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Fujian XX. Beijing Ducks at the other side still keep top position with two games lost. Shanghai Sharks is looking forward to face TianJin Rongcheng (#14) in Tianjin in the next round where they are favorite. Beijing Ducks will play at home against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#3) in Hangzhou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
