Regular Season Round 24: Fukuoka Rizing - Shimane SM 93-88

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Shimane Magic's (12-10) road loss to fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (15-7) 88-93 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech) who scored 32 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: VVG Sports) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Reggie Golson (201-81, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Court Side) added 20 points respectively. Four Fukuoka Rizing and five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Shimane Magic at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face league's leader Okinawa GK on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
