Very expected game in Hangzhou where 17th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (3-12) were defeated by third ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (11-4) 106-99 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 106-99. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game, while Jiangsu Dragons only scored six points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 22 rebounds and American forward Wilson Chandler (203-87, college: De Paul) who added 25 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' coach Jim Cleamons used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American-Lebanese power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Marcus Williams (191-85, college: Connecticut) scored 26 points. Four Jiangsu Dragons players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-4 record having just two points less than leader Beijing Ducks. Jiangsu Dragons lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will face league's leader Beijing Ducks on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jiangsu Dragons will play against Jilin Tigers (#12) in Changchun.
