Regular Season Round 2: Pure Youth - Taiwan Mobile 72-69

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when Taiwan Mobile (1-2) was edged by Pure Youth (2-2) 72-69 on Sunday. Pure Youth trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 23-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Pure Youth outrebounded Taiwan Mobile 41-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. Taiwan Mobile was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Tsun-Ching Lin (188-86) chipped in 14 points during the contest. Yu-Lin Chang (190-86) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Sheng-Yao Liu (190-83) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pure Youth moved-up to third place, which they share with KKL. Loser Taiwan Mobile dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Pure Youth will face league's leader Dacin Tigers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiwan Mobile will play against Bank of Taiwan (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
