Date: December 27, 2011
The game between third ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (11-7) and ninth ranked KFUM Jamtland (7-12) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. Norrkoping Dolphins were defeated by KFUM Jamtland in Norrkoping 72-86. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Jamtland. Norrkoping Dolphins managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jason Stamper (200-85, college: Minnesota, agency: JEMsports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Lithuanian point guard Evaldas Zabas (188-88) contributed with 21 points and 8 assists for the winners. Stamper is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American-British forward Oladapo Ayuba (198-86, college: UMKC) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American forward Fred Drains (195-71, college: Kean) added 15 points in the effort for Norrkoping Dolphins. Norrkoping Dolphins' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KFUM Jamtland maintains ninth place with 7-12 record. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins keep the third position with seven games lost. KFUM Jamtland are looking forward to face higher ranked Sundsvall Dragons (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against the league's second-placed Boras Basket having rather not much hope for a victory.
