SerieA round 12 caused change at the leadership position. Third defeat of league's leader Armani Milano (8-3) against seventh ranked Bennet Cantu (7-5) 79-54 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Armani Milano. The game was mostly controlled by Bennet Cantu. Armani Milano managed to win third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Armani Milano to just 7 points in second quarter. It was a great shooting night for Bennet Cantu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. It was a good game for Georgian guard Manuchar Markoishvili (196-86) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Maarten Leunen (206-85, college: Oregon) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Five Bennet Cantu players scored in double figures. American guard Malik Hairston (198-87, college: Oregon) replied with 13 points and 5 rebounds and international forward Stefano Mancinelli (203-83) added 10 points in the effort for Armani Milano. Armani Milano's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Bennet Cantu moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sidigas AV. Armani Milano at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Montepaschi. Armani Milano will play next round against Air Avellino trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Bennet Cantu will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Cimberio Varese on the road.
