Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifteenth ranked Qingdao Double Star and 16th ranked Foshan had identical 5-10 record. This time Qingdao Double Star used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Foshan 110-88. It looked good early as Foshan took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Qingdao Double Star took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 22 points. They also forced 20 Foshan turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Foshan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 7 steals for the winning side and Nigerian-British power forward Olumide Oyedeji (208-81) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds. Qingdao Double Star's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American-Filipino power forward Marcus Douthit (210-80, college: Providence, agency: Edge Sports) came up with 25 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and swingman Wenbo Yang (196-90) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Foshan in the defeat. Four Qingdao Double Star and five Foshan players scored in double figures. Qingdao Double Star (6-10) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Shandong FB. Foshan at the other side dropped to the fifteenth position with 11 games lost. Qingdao Double Star's next round opponent will be higher ranked Shanghai Sharks (#9) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Foshan will play against Shandong Bulls (#14) in Jinan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
