Top ranked Beijing Ducks (13-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (12-4) 118-112. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 39-26 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 31-of-39 free shots (79.5 percent) during the game. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions outrebounded Beijing Ducks 52-35 including 38 on the defensive glass. 31 personal fouls committed by Beijing Ducks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Wilson Chandler (203-87, college: De Paul) who had a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Stephon Marbury (187-77, college: Georgia Tech) produced 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and the other American import power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) added 19 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for the hosts. Four Zhejiang Guangsha Lions and five Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-4 record behind leader Beijing Ducks. Beijing Ducks lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with three games lost. They share it with Guandong ST. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions are looking forward to face TianJin Rongcheng (#15) in Tianjin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Beijing Ducks will play on the road against Jilin Tigers (#11) in Changchun and are hoping to win this game.
