The game in Yokohama supposed to be also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Toyama Grouses (10-10) played at the court of 8th ranked Yokohama BC (8-13). Toyama Grouses smashed Yokohama BC 85-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yokohama BC. It looked good early as Yokohama BC took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Toyama Grouses had a 20-12 second period charge getting the lead and Yokohama BC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 61-85. Toyama Grouses made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Yokohama BC turnovers. Masashi Joho (183-82) stepped up and scored 21 points for the winners and American guard Haakim Johnson (201-87, college: Pikeville) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Marcus Simmons (198-88, college: USC) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyama Grouses moved-up to fifth place. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Toyama Grouses will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yokohama BC will play at home against Saitama Broncos (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
