Bottom-ranked Eco Orebro is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 20th consecutive match to seventh ranked Uppsala Basket (11-9) 91-80 on Thursday evening. The guests trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 11 points. Strangely Eco Orebro outrebounded Uppsala Basket 38-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Australian guard Rhys Carter (190-84) who scored that evening 29 points and 6 assists and guard Rickard Eriksson (190-82) supported him with 16 points and 8 assists. Even 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists by Czech swingman Stefan Licartovsky (196-84) did not help to save the game for Eco Orebro. Greek power forward Theodoros Georgitsis (205-83) added 20 points for the hosts. Five Uppsala Basket and four Eco Orebro players scored in double figures. Uppsala Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Eco Orebro still closes the standings. Uppsala Basket will meet higher ranked Sodertalje Kings (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Eco Orebro will have a break next round.
