Bottom-ranked Jiangsu Dragons managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the six-game losing streak. This time they won against sixth-ranked Liaoning Hunters in Yingkou 122-118. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Liaoning Hunters. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Liaoning Hunters won third quarter 37-27. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Jiangsu Dragons won last quarter 32-29. They made 25-of-31 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Jiangsu Dragons forced 19 Liaoning Hunters turnovers. Strangely Liaoning Hunters outrebounded Jiangsu Dragons 47-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Liaoning Hunters were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Lebanese power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) had a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international swingman Li Yi (203-85) chipped in 23 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Josh Powell (206-83, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Strategic Sports) with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) scored 31 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jiangsu Dragons maintains seventeenth position with 4-13 record. Liaoning Hunters at the other side keep the sixth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Shanghai S.. Jiangsu Dragons will play against league's second-placed Guandong Tigers in Dongguan in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Liaoning Hunters will play on the road against the league's leader Beijing Ducks (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
