Regular Season Round 18: Shanghai S. - Qingdao E. 69-63

Very expected game when 13th ranked Qingdao Double Star (6-11) lost on the road to ninth ranked Shanghai Sharks (9-8) 69-63. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. International center ZhaoXu Zhang (221-87, college: California) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Lester Hudson (191-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who recorded 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Gen Li (196-88) added 21 points respectively. Shanghai Sharks have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Liaoning H. Qingdao Double Star at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Shanghai Sharks' next round opponent will be Shandong Bulls (#12) in Jinan where they are favorite. Qingdao Double Star will play on the road against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in Hangzhou.
