The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Canarias (13-3) on the court of fifteenth ranked Lobe Huesca on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Lobe Huesca 92-89. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Canarias. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 25-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Levi Knutson (193-88, college: Colorado, agency: FCM) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and the other American import Alexander Franklin (196-88, college: Siena) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Ricardo Guillen (205-76) scored 15 points. Four Lobe Huesca and five Canarias players scored in double figures. Lobe Huesca (7-9) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Canarias at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Lobe Huesca is looking forward to face higher ranked UB La Palma (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Canarias will play against CB Tarragona 2017 and is hoping to win this game.
