SerieA top team - Montepaschi Siena (10-2) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Benetton Treviso (5-7) 78-69. The game without a history. Montepaschi Siena led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Strangely Benetton Treviso outrebounded Montepaschi Siena 38-17 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Australian center David Andersen (212-80) fired 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American-FYR Macedonian point guard Bo McCalebb (183-85, college: New Orleans) chipped in 16 points. Naturalized Slovenian guard Sani Becirovic (196-81) produced 17 points and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and American guard Jobey Thomas (194-80, college: Charlotte) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montepaschi Siena have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-2 record. Loser Benetton Treviso dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost.
