Regular Season Round 3: Taiwan Mobile - Dacin Tigers 79-82

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Taiwan Mobile (2-4) was edged by first ranked Dacin Tigers (5-1) 82-79 on Saturday. Dacin Tigers took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-15. But Taiwan Mobile won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dacin Tigers made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Strangely Taiwan Mobile outrebounded Dacin Tigers 43-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Belizean-American power forward Noel Felix (205-81, college: Fresno St.) who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international guard Chih-Feng Chang (183-81) chipped in 22 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jing-Huan Chen (190-86) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Yi-Chieh Su (181-87) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Five Taiwan Mobile players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Dacin Tigers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-1 record. Loser Taiwan Mobile dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Dacin Tigers will face league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiwan Mobile will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen.
