There was a surprise result in Changchun where fifteenth ranked TianJin Rongcheng (6-12) beat higher ranked Jilin Tigers (7-11) 100-96 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 15 points after three quarters before their 36-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Jilin Tigers were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American power forward Donnell Harvey (203-80, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import center David Harrison (213-82, college: Colorado) helped adding 19 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side American power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and Jordanian guard Osama Daghles (198-79, college: Midwestern St.) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. TianJin Rongcheng maintains fifteenth place with 6-12 record. Loser Jilin Tigers keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. TianJin Rongcheng will face higher ranked Liaoning Hunters (#6) in Yingkou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
